Who am I to guide you in following God's Calling in your life?

From an early age, I felt that I was here on this planet for a reason and that there was a deep purpose in life. But I didn’t know what it was, and I also didn’t know how to listen to this inner voice that I now recognize as God’s voice. I was so conditioned to listen to the voices of my father, my teachers, my bosses, and other figures of authority. I was busier pleasing them than listening to what God wanted me to do with my life. Therefore, I experienced quite a few challenges. I never really could find my place in school and life in general.

But I thought, “If I can just make it through my teenage years and move out of my parents’ house, everything would be okay. Then I would have my own life, make my own choices, and follow my own path in life.” A week before turning 18, I packed my things and left my parental home to move to one of the biggest cities in the Netherlands: The Hague.
